John Ofori Damoah is a versatile and experienced consultant, academic, and researcher with a diverse background spanning industry practice, consulting, academia, and public sector engagement. He currently serves as a faculty member at Central University, Accra, where he teaches and conducts research in labour and employment law, strategic human resource management (HRM), career planning, and human resource development.
John holds a Master of Public Policy and Leadership from Yeungnam University (South Korea), an MPhil in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has also completed a range of specialized certifications in Monitoring and Evaluation (ITCILO, Italy), Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH, UK), Project Cycle Management (ITCILO, Italy), Foundations of Project Management (Benchmark Institute, Accra), New Venture Creation and Development (Wadhwani Foundation, India), and Advanced Research Methodology (Central University).
With over a decade of professional experience, John has contributed to both academia and industry. Since January 2022, he has served as the Project Planning and Procurement Manager at Kuipers Breeders Ghana Limited, where he leads resource allocation, project reporting, procurement strategies, and supplier relationship management.
Previously, he was an Agricultural Credit Program Consultant with the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) in the Afram Plains Zone, where he managed agricultural credit services, conducted training and appraisal exercises, and led project implementation monitoring. He also served as Community Affairs Officer for Golden Star (Bogoso/Prestea) Mining Limited, leading community engagement, compensation negotiations, and development program implementation.
In academia, John has been a lecturer at Central University since 2012, where he supervises student research, teaches HRM courses, and handles departmental responsibilities, including serving as Examination Officer. He has also served on the University of Ghana’s Disciplinary Committee for junior members.
John’s research has been published in respected journals such as the *International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research*, *Venture Capital*, *Team Performance Management*, and the *Journal of Entrepreneurship*. His research explores topics including entrepreneurs’ optimism, childcare demands, financial literacy, risk-taking, and firm performance.
