Abdul-Ghaffar Adam is a highly qualified professional with a strong academic and professional background in socioeconomic research, monitoring, and evaluation. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from the Project Management Institute (USA), as well as an MPhil in Planning and a B.Sc. in Planning from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.

He is an active member of the Ghana Institute of Planners, the Commonwealth Association of Planners, and the African Evaluators Association, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.

Abdul-Ghaffar’s expertise lies in socio-economic research, project monitoring, and evaluation consulting. He has served as a consultant on numerous projects supported by both local institutions and international development partners. His work includes conducting household baseline, midline, and end-line surveys on key development themes such as maternal and child health, water and sanitation, local governance, education, and agriculture/livelihoods.

He has collaborated with a broad spectrum of development organizations, including IFPRI, CARE Ghana, USAID, World Bank, DFID, African Development Bank, KOICA, World Vision International, Global Communities, and various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs). His approach often employs participatory learning and action methodologies and integrates both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques, including focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and household surveys.

Technically proficient, Abdul-Ghaffar is skilled in using Computer Aided Personal Interviewing (CAPI) tools such as KoBo Collect, SurveyCTO, and ROMITY, and possesses advanced analytical capabilities in SPSS and STATA. These tools enhance the reliability and insightfulness of his project evaluations and socioeconomic studies.
